There are 13 -pre-nominees. Here is how I rank them:

    1. GREG VAUGHAN, Days Of Our Lives (I so want him to win! The episode where he accuses Nicole of rape, the 2 back-to-back episodes when Kristen’s rape of Eric is exposed in the church – the most powerful acting by any male actor in 2013!)
    2. BLAKE BERRIS, Days Of Our Lives (the scene where Nick reveals he was raped in prison were superb. He’s a character we love to hate!)
    3. BRADFORD ANDERSON, General Hospital (when Damien Spinelli learns that he is a father were his best scenes, when he confronts Maxie and Ellie)
    4. ERIC MARTSOLF, Days Of Our Lives (he played the most stupid character on daytime believably. The confrontation scene between Eric and Brady after the big reveal concerning Kristen was incredibly powerful!)
    5. WALLY KURTH, Days Of Our Lives (Justin’s talk with Sonny outside of Will’s hospital room, and his scenes with Adrienne during Sami’s trial were standout episodes!)
    6. DARIN BROOKS, The Bold and the Beautiful (a breath of fresh air on B&B – he’s the anti-Liam (the waffler). Love his chemistry with Hope, and his scenes with Quinn. He’s made me almost (gasp!) like the show again!)
    7. WILLIAM deVRY, General Hospital (Julian did good work around the Danny story, has great chemistry with Alexis and Sam, and shares scenes with the sublime Maura West – my only quibble is that sometimes his line deliveries could use improvement)
    8. DOMINIC ZAMPROGNA, General Hospital (standout scenes would be during the time when he was searching for a missing Lulu)
    9. SCOTT CLIFTON, The Bold and the Beautiful (the “waffler” irritates me no end. I don’t like Liam at all, but SC is a good actor nevertheless.)
    10. GREG RIKAART, The Young and the Restless (I’m sure he will submit Delia scenes. He just doesn’t move me as an actor)
    11. SEAN BLAKEMORE, General Hospital (another character I just don’t like)
    12. STEVE BURTON, The Young and the Restless (Dylan doesn’t interest me, and I find this actor a bit wooden)
    13. ROBERT ADAMSON, The Young and the Restless (I like this young actor but he didn’t have any Emmy-worthy material)

    1.  BRADFORD ANDERSON:  Overdue and did some of his best work before departing PC.

    2.  GREG VAUGHAN

    3.  DOMINIC ZAMPROGNA

    4.  GREG RIKAART

    5.  STEVE BURTON:  Proved during the Conner reveal that he isn’t just Jason Morgan.  Not a big fan, but I was impressed that he could actually act!

    6.  BLAKE BERRIS

    7.  WILLIAM DEVRY

    8.  SEAN BLAKEMORE:  He’s gotten in before.

    9.  ERIC MARTSOLF – still a very wooden actor.  Needs to keep shedding some of his “Passions” training.

    10.  SCOTT CLIFTON

    11.  WALLY KURT

    12.  DARIN BROOKS

    13.  ROBERT ADAMSON – WTF?

I predict Anderson, Clifton, Vaughan, DeVry and Rikaart will make the final cut.
