Casey Jon Deidrick’s (ex-Chad, DAYS) new show, Eye Candy, which also stars Victoria Justice, premieres on MTV tonight at 10 PM.
Also, it’s not exactly primetime, but I want to mention how much I enjoyed ATWT alum Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey) in Into The Woods. He’s charming, funny, and absolutely gorgeous.January 12, 2015 at 2:24 pm #424112
Soap alumns also had a great night last night at the Globes. Matt Bomer (ex-Ben, GL), Julianne Moore (ex-Frannie/Sabrina, ATWT), and Gina Rodriguez (ex-Beverly, B&B) won.January 12, 2015 at 4:28 pm #424113
^^Yes, and thank goodness Matt Bomer won that Globe. I was LIVID after he lost the Emmy he should have won. Very happy for all three of them.January 21, 2015 at 7:50 am #424115
That’s great news. I’m happy to try anything with SMG, and I’ve been missing FloLo lately.January 27, 2015 at 9:18 am #424116

Great news! I miss him so much.January 30, 2015 at 1:26 pm #424118
Anyone else catch Nicolas Becthel (Spencer, GH) on Grey’s last night? I swear that kid can do brat without being unsympathetic like no other (I really started out hating him as a character but he’s brought a lot of dimension for a kid so young.) and it’s nice to see the parent network giving him some opportunities. He more than held his own against Chandra Wilson.April 21, 2016 at 7:47 am #1201819360
I thought I would resurrect this thread to mentioned that Wrecked, James Scott’s new TBS comedy, is premiering June 14. How funny that one of the last posts before this was about him booking the pilot in January of last year. I wonder what’s taken so long to get this on air?
While I’m here, I’ll also mention that I’m really excited to see Alexandra Shipp, who was Paige’s troublemaking pal Mary Beth on DAYS, as Storm in the upcoming X-Men Apocalypse and possibly carrying over the character into the New Mutants offshoot of the franchise. I think she has the potential to become a big deal.November 26, 2016 at 5:05 pm #1201957104
Carolyn Hennessy (Diane, GH) and Julie Marie Berman (ex-Lulu, GH) are in the Gilmore Girls Revival on Netflix.May 5, 2017 at 12:25 pm #1202085174
Deidre Hall just had a funny guest turn (along with Lauren Koslow and Martha Madison) on the 9:30 episode of NBC’s new comedy Great News. She wasn’t on long, but it was a hoot. I also really have enjoyed the first few episodes of that show. You can definitely feel that it’s descended from 30 Rock.February 11, 2018 at 8:53 pm #1202492127
Forgot to post this the other day, but two of our daytime alums, Michael Park (Jack Snyder, ATWT) and Kristolyn Lloyd (Dayzee, B&B) just became newly-crowned Grammy WINNERS for their work on the musical theater album, Dear Evan Hansen!! A two-time Emmy winner as well, Park is now one step closer to completing his EGOT! Huge congrats to the both of them!
Also, be sure to catch another very familiar face to the world of daytime, Kim Matula (ex-Hope Logan), in the primetime comedy, LA to Vegas, which airs primarily Tuesdays on FOX. It’s my favorite new comedy of the season (the dialogue is really sharp and witty) and Matula (who plays a flight attendant) is hilarious and the show’s highlight for me. Who knew that she can be just as much a comedic star as she has already proven herself to be a dramatic powerhouse!
