I think Bechtel’s stay depends on if Disney renews his show or not. It still hasn’t been picked up for another season.June 7, 2017 at 1:58 pm #1202113717
According to DC, Jean Passanante is retiring. I don’t know if Shelly Altman has ever been a solo headwriter, so I’m assuming she’ll be demoted. Speculation is Chuck Pratt will be the new headwriter. At this point, I’d even take Guza back. They’re both hacks, but even their worst material is never this boring!June 7, 2017 at 3:57 pm #1202113855
Congratulations to Jean Passanante on her upcoming retirement. It doesn’t matter much to me who (if anyone) takes her position because I stopped watching GH a few months ago and it’s unlikely that I will return. The writers do not seem to have any real say in terms of the show’s direction. I stayed loyal to the show for years, hoping for a change. But I finally had to give it up. I realize that some people enjoy the show’s style, and that’s great. I hope the show remains on the air. But as long as the primary focus is on crime and violence, I’m not interested.June 10, 2017 at 2:15 pm #1202116529
I am watching solely for Nicholas Bechtel’s Spencer (: He is so amazing and wonderful! (;June 11, 2017 at 5:27 am #1202117118
It is nice to have him back after a far far too long absence. I’m glad they kept him as opposed to doing a recast which I’m sure would have been easier from a production standpoint.June 29, 2017 at 6:32 am #1202136507
And Steve Burton’s back! Because he and Maurice Benard are the key to this show’s success even though the ratings went up when Burton quit and they stopped making the whole show only about Sonny, Jason and their bitches. Burton & Benard will go back to airing 8 days a week and talented vets like Hughes, Francis & Grahn will air twice a month at most. Zeman & Charleson will never be seen again, realJason will kill the Jeromes so we’ll never get to see talented soap vets like Maura West and William deVry again. But of course nuKiki and nuDillon will survive to stink up our tv screens until this disaster of a show is cancelled and we’re all put out of our collective misery!June 29, 2017 at 9:39 am #1202136689
I am unhappy to hear that the zombie is returning (Steve Burton) but am glad if it means that Billy Miller leaves – he has been horrible in the role of Jason.
I am unhappy with the mistreatment of Ava – I am so tired of this show’s preferential treatment towards Sonny ): It’s so boring.
I loved Josslyn’s talk with her mother where she correctly tells Carly that she is addicted to Sonny. I find Carly irritating and too shrill.
Nicholas Bechtel is a national treasure! (:
Sonny’s death is a hail of bullets is the only thing that would satisfy me. Then, bring the show back to the hospital and make it about doctors and nurses.June 29, 2017 at 2:44 pm #1202136894
They could always stick a black wig on him like they did Sarah Brown. Make him Claude Zaccharia ;).
Seriously, this show is such a hot mess right now it’s hard to know where to begin.
Also note to brilliant lawyer Alexis: it’s called a Wrongful Death Suit! Idiot.July 5, 2017 at 1:22 pm #1202142657
I know it’s awful of me but I was cheering for Sam as she stabbed Sonny and only wish she had a better aim! he will live, unfortunately…. ); Otherwise, today’s episode was a giant yawn and I was able to get some chores done due to boredom with what was on my television screen…July 7, 2017 at 4:08 am #1202144276
SO disappointed that Sonny being stabbed by Sam was just a fantasy/hallucination and not for real. I was so upset that I turned GH off yesterday.
Mostly I am bored with the show.
Whatever became of Lucas and Brad (and Rosalie)?
Is Haley Pullos at school in real life, is that the reason she never gets any storylines? I miss Molly. We see her for a few minutes here and there but she never has any material.July 7, 2017 at 8:53 am #1202144427
I know the actress broke her arm lately and that might have been part of the reason, but since the focus in summer is usually when the teens take center stage it’s especially odd she isn’t getting more airtime. It’s probably another side effect of the general cast bloat we are seeing. That being said I do like the new doctor and the fact that if they are going to bring in a daytime vet for a potentially longer role, he is playing A DOCTOR!July 13, 2017 at 5:54 pm #1202151398
TVLINE is reporting that Micheal Sutton is reprising his role of Stone Cates sometime in August for a very short period. All they say is that he’ll be involved with helping Sonny through a crisis in some way. (Probably as a dream or a ghost).July 14, 2017 at 5:01 am #1202152015
I’m glad they’re doing this tribute to Peter Hansen. Finally, we get to see Serena again!July 14, 2017 at 11:34 am #1202152498
I am watching GH today for the first time in months. My primary motivation is that I wanted to see Carly Schroeder as Serena. She is a keeper! Wouldn’t it be great if they brought her on as a young doctor?
Nicolas Bechtel is as charming as ever. I’m so glad that Spencer wound up with Laura.
I am not excited about the return of Steve Burton. It’s not that I have anything against the actor. But I’m sure it will turn out that he is the “real” Jason. It’s just more evidence that the show wants to stay grounded in the 2005 model.July 17, 2017 at 2:31 am #1202154793

For those who don’t know…when she was an actress, Jean Passanante was in John Sayles’s classic 1980 film Return of the Secaucus 7.
