In honor of Marcia Wallace’s recent death, here’s a poll with nine great voice actors on The Simpsons.
My personal favourite is a toss up between Kelsey and Albert. I think that they are both equally hilarious.
Well there’s Glenn Close as Homer’s mom, Mona. Sooo many other worthy mentions.
Honestly, Edna was one of my favorite characters, but she doesn’t belong in this list because she was never a guest star, but rather a recurring player that got credited as guest. It’s a very different situation than with Sideshow Bob, who only shows up every two years and only once a season.
That said, I voted for Grammer. Because truly he fits the term guest star and because he is just incredible. His singing in the end of Cape Feare is one of almost classic Simpsons moments. I’d go as far as saying he does a better job as Sideshow Bob than he does as Frasier Crane. But Brooks as Hank Scorpio and Mantagna as fat Tony come really close. I have always been a fan of Dustin Hoffman in “Lisa’s Substitute”.
Barry White by a mile
