None of those. I live in a committed long-term relationship but we’re not married.
What is your favourite lyric line in a song? Why is it your favourite line?February 17, 2017 at 4:22 pm #1202014465
“I am hanging in the balance of the reality of man” From Bob Dylan’s Every Grain of Sand. He sings it differently live, which makes it even more precious. I love that song so much I tattooed a chunk of the lyrics on my right arm.

Which Oscar category this year is getting you most excited about finding out the winner?maxwylie09ParticipantJoinedMay 10th, 2015Total Topics0Posts43February 19, 2017 at 12:47 pm #1202015833
Foreign Language Film. It has come down to the best film of the year versus a lesser outing from a talented filmmaker. Exciting!
Are you (or have you ever been) heavily invested in a foreign culture? If so, which one(s)?LaChienneParticipantJoinedJan 4th, 2017Total Topics3Posts1471February 20, 2017 at 3:35 pm #1202016875
Not heavily invested but I love learning about foreign cultures. I have four books on the history of geisha in Japan among others. I’ve also studied German culture a lot from having German language, culture, and history as part of my major but German modern culture isn’t really that far from most western culture to really study.
What’s the worst casting you’ve ever seen? The best?MathildaParticipantJoinedNov 26th, 2016Total Topics8Posts172February 20, 2017 at 3:43 pm #1202016882
The worst would have to be Vince Vaughn as Norman Bates in Psycho (1998) and the best would be Charlize Theron in Monster.

Hillary Clinton and Annette Bening.
Who’s more likely to win their first Oscar? Michelle Williams or Amy Adams?Boidiva02ParticipantJoinedMay 24th, 2011Total Topics173Posts3370February 20, 2017 at 4:28 pm #1202016909
Tough call, but I think Adams if only because she works more often than Williams and tackles a greater variety of roles and genres than Williams does.

No. She will be the female Peter O’Toole.

David Letterman was my favorite ever. James Corden is my favorite currently though I usually only watch bits of his show in YouTube.
