I know this is an award, but its not like a usual award for the arts so I’m posting it here. And I don’t know how many people actually watch college football, but anyway.
These are the people I feel are leading the race for the Heisman Trophy:
1. Trent Richardson – Alabama
2. Andrew Luck – Stanford
3. Matt Barkely – USC
4. Robert Griffin III – Baylor
5. Brandon Weedon – Oklahoma State
6. Jordan Jefferson/Tyrien Mathieu – LSU
7. Montee Ball – Wisconsin
8. LaMichael James – Oregon
9. Kellen Moore – Boise State
10. Case Keenum – Houston
ROBERT GRIFFIN III WINS HEISMAN TROPHY!!!December 4, 2011 at 2:30 pm #438437
I think Griffin should win, but I think Luck will win. To me, Griffin was the best player in college football this year. It is going to be really close between Luck and Richardson. It really is a two-horse race between those two. I just have a feeling Luck`s overall body of work will be the difference. It is supposed to be based on the season and not the person`s career, but you know that gets factored in. I think Griffin will finish third in the voting. After yesterday, I could see Mathieu sneaking into the top five of the voting. Mathieu has made huge plays for LSU all year long, and is a big reason why they are #1.December 4, 2011 at 2:46 pm #438438
I want Griffin to win too. He’s done so much at a smaller school that he’s being overlooked. But that game on Saturday might give him the push he needs. I’ve got my fingers crossed. But I think Trent Richardson will walk away with it in the end.December 4, 2011 at 3:16 pm #438439
I wouldn`t be upset with Richardson winning it either. He has had a great season. I like Luck, but he hasn`t even been the best quarterback in his conference this year. Even though Stanford beat USC, Barkley still outplayed Luck in that game, and Barkley had a better overall season.
If I was voting my top 3 would look like this:
3. MathieuDecember 4, 2011 at 3:35 pm #438440

Its official!!!These are the top contenders invited by Heisman to the presentation:
Robert Griffin III
I have a strange feeling that Tyron Mathieu will shock everyone and win. The last 2 winners have been from the BCS National Champ and LSU looks good to win.December 6, 2011 at 8:11 am #438442
All of those players are very deserving of being in NY. I think Barkley probably ended up finishing sixth in the voting. The latest projections are looking good in Griffin`s favor.
