ReplyCopy URLOctober 13, 2017 at 1:55 pm #1202236572I just finished reading Mudbound. A very powerful tale; I greatly appreciated how each chapter was told from a different character’s perspective as it allows the same situation to be seen from all angles. The ending contains a giant gut punch. I’m very curious to see how Dee Rees’ film adaptation turns out.
I’ve now started reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline in anticipation of next year’s film adaptation directed by none other than Steven Spielberg.

October 21, 2017 at 9:30 am #1202244092Just finished reading Ready Player One. Solid book overall, especially since I have almost zero interest in video games in general. The 80s references were fun, even if they were referenced maybe a little too much at times. Overall, a solid debut novel, and I’m very curious to see what Spielberg does with the film.
Now I’m onto reading The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, a book I’ve meant to read for a very long time.
