I need to create a list of films that include characters for whom reading books is important or somehow defining, like “Misery”, “The Hours” or “The Reader” or like when in “Match Point” the book “Crime & Punishment” was important plot point.

Can you help me? Something else?

    Inkheart
    John Carter
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
The Tudors (sorry, this is a television series)

    More later.

Hey, thank you, guys. Your mentions were VERY helpful. If you catch anything new, please let me know. I thought about “Atonement” in some ways as they read the play and there’s book on the horizon.
