    This is going to sound like it’s coming out of left field…

    Suppose a college football player happens to be a member of SAG/AFTRA.  Is he entitled to any compensation if he’s in a game that’s on TV, assuming his “employer” (the school) is being paid for the rights to air it?  Or can they use his appearance for free?

    I ask because I see that a judge ruled that the NCAA has no right to deny players the right to earn money from the use of their names and likenesses, but I wonder if “use of name and likeness” entitles them to a share of the money from the TV contracts the schools have.
