Let’s dish the Olympics!
“As well as promoting peace and tolerance, the ceremony will also feature a call for everyone around the world to save the planet from climate change.
The athletes of the 207 delegations, which, for the very first time, include a team of refugees competing under the Olympic banner, will be proudly led out by their respective flagbearers on to the track at the Maracanã. Once the Parade of Nations is compete, the athletes will then join the rest of the world in savouring what promises to a memorable show.
We will have a report for you on the Opening Ceremony of the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, and all the best photos besides. Let the party begin!”

Apparently Chinese media are reporting the success of Team GB over China in the medal table as ‘temporary’ – boy I do wish we stick it out and finish second on the table!
Also, WHAT A SWEEP for GB in the Track Cycling. Every single track cyclist which Team GB sent out to Rio who competed in a race won a medal. Just staggeringly incredible!August 20, 2016 at 9:55 pm #1201911100

I must say, watching the winner(s) of the Women’s 800 Meters was interesting. Don’t get me wrong; I fully support Caster Semenya’s right to gender identity……
A civil convo about this issue could be satisfying.
