    HUGE news for British TV.

The biggest show in the UK, The Great British Bake Off will no longer air on the BBC after the current series.

Love Productions and the BBC failed to agree on the money – though the production company say it has ‘never been about who might write the biggest cheques’.

As well as the money, Love Productions are claiming that ‘growing the Bake Off brand’ is also at the heart of their decision.

The brand currently has the main show, a spin-off show which talks about the main show (An Extra Slice); a kids version in the works (Junior Bake Off); and a professional version (Bake Off: Creme De La Creme). All of these air with the BBC at the moment.

The show will now air on another channel, likely to be ITV. Love Productions allegedly want it to be on a free to air channel – narrowing the options away from any streaming site, or SKY channels. The show will contains adverts – something it does not have to contend with on the BBC.

The futures of hosts, Mel and Sue, and judges, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, is also unknown at the moment.

I adore this show. I hope it stays the same.
Project Runway did when it switched networks here but not sure if thats a fair comparison.

It’s moved to Channel 4 for a reported £25 million.

But that whole ‘no change’ is definitely not happening.

Hosts Mel & Sue have officially stepped down.

I’m hedging my bets that Mary and Paul will more likely follow suit and step down with integrity rather than sell out for the cash.

There has been a move in worldwide power from channels to the universal generation organizations who put their projects wherever they can make the best return and help with dissertation writing it is a procedure that is just going to proceed if groups of onlookers for the huge conventional channels keeps on declining.
