I love the Jennifer Aniston nomination for “Horrible Bosses” but I thought Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis were better than Jason Bateman.

It’s also great to see Steve Carell receive recognition for his film work. The Golden Globes haven’t nominated him for anything despite the fact that he’s been good in so many movies (“The 40 Year Old Virgin”, “Little Miss Sunshine”, “Dan in Real Life”, “Crazy, Stupid, Love.”)

He’s been bad in every single movie you wrote. 🙂 He’s just bad. In everything.

This is a pretty good set of nominees (better than last year), so I wish the winners will be good as well.

The Best Picture line up is just golden. It’s a breath of fresh air, and this is what the Globes should have nominated. Acting nominations aside, happiest for Steve Carell, Jean Dujardin, Jennifer Aniston, and Kirsten Wiig, but I’d wish there was a slot for Charlize Theron in Young Adult.

I was wondering why the omission of Theron as well. Maybe they didnt think “Young Adult” is a comedy? I think they nominated “Kick Ass” last year and I’d say that was about as funny as the former.

There was way too much Bridesmaids love, IMO. Comedy Director should have went to Michel Hazanavicius and, even though Bridesmaids was a great screenplay, Comedy Screenplay should have went to Woody Allen.

Watching “Bridesmaids” I was stunned by 3 things:

    1. That Melissa McCarthy didn’t do anything that extraordinary to warrant Oscar nomination.

    2. That with this and “Imogene” Kristen Wiig all of a sudden arrived as a movie star. Good for her!

    3. That Rose Byrne was the best aspect of the movie (and I didn’t even like her that much earlier on).
