I thought can Emma Stone be like Dakota Fanning when she was nominated for Secret Life of Bees?

I do think Davis will go to lead for The Help and Spencer and Tyson will be nominated for supporting.

I’m hoping that the Image Awards embrace the independent black films this year. Films like Mooz-lum, Attack the Block, Pariah, I Will Follow and Gun Hill Road deserve some recognition throughout this awards season.

The nominees will be revealed at a press conference in January 2012.  The winners will be announced during the FOX Television live broadcast of the 2012 43rd NAACP Image Awards ceremony.

I think Emma Stone will get nominated (just like Sandra Bullock and Dakota Fanning before her). And I think Angela Bassett will go lead for Jumping the Broom (she is first billed). So in lead actress I would replace those two with Oduye and Whitfield.

@gome91, I can definitely see Bassett moving up to lead. I can possibly see Oduye being snubbed since they tend to go with more recognizable names in the actress category. Richardson may make it since they are having a screening for I Will Follow for the Image Award comittee next week. For once this category may be interesting in figuring out the nominees.

I have a bad feeling they’ll just stuff Pariah in the “Independent Movie Category”.

I really hope they’ll nominate Maya Rudolph for Bridesmaids. Hey! Maybe they’ll even nominate the movie for Best Picture!
