Oh, wait, so George Clooney’s not in an Oscar film this year? I was ready to check his name off.
I just predict Lincoln to sweep big awads.
I think Nicole Kidman “The Paperboy” has a big shot in here.
Marion Cotillard is definitely a lock. The national bord literally loves her. And she is really amazing in “Rust & Bone”. Anderson is a lock too for best director along with best foreign film (“Amour”) and breakthrough performance for Quvenzhane Wallis . Honestly i think the rest is pretty much open. Best film is the most difficult category to predict because even Amour as a shot. It can be named for both like Roman Polanski for “The pianist”
When are the recipients announced?
One thing to remember is that they ALWAYS love Warner Bros. films and The Clint. And outside of that, they usually throw in one or two mainstream choices. They will probably have another interesting actress choice who is in the end not nominated. So, probably Wallis or Riva?
