I’m amazed at how much of a non-factor Viola Davis turned out to be in “Won’t Back Down.” That trailer make her look like a livewire, the kind of role that would make up for her recent Oscar loss. She’s a fantastic actress. I’m surprised how soon that pic came and went. (Granted, I don’t know what critical reception was like.)

Viola Davis will win as Barbara Jordan in 2015.

From what I gathered, Won’t Back Down’s buzz was swiftly dealt a killing blow after the reviews came in. Seemed like most critcs thought it played like a rather underwhelming Lifetime/Hallmark movie that the actresses couldn’t really rise above.

I want Samantha Barks for Supporting Actress. She played Epinone in Les Mis and outshined everyone. Sad she is getting no love at award shows- completely overshadowed by Anne Hathaway, who was great too. But Samantha was a brilliant singer, better then anyone in the film. Anne’s acting was great though, so I am fine if Anne wins too.

But I hate that Samantha is being completely overlooked. I never heard of her befvore in my life, but she blew me away.
