    For Spanish films – forgive me if I’ve gotten a few categories wrong, my spanish isn’t whwat it needs to be. I wish more films from Spain would come to the U.S. ): I LOVE the way they present their nominations!

    4  of the 8 directing nominees are women! (: There is a good chance that Paula Ortiz will win the Best Director award.

    3 Oscar winners: Juliette Binoche, Penelope Cruz and Tim Robbins. Cruz has won at least 2 Goyas in the past.

    I would love to see these films; I wonder why Spanish films do so poorly in the US and don’t get distributed well (even on DVD) here? Each year I see these Goya nominations and only wind up getting to see a few of the movies nominated eventually ): Spanish cinema is wonderful!
