    Timothee Chalamet
    Sissy Spacek

I would jump up and down if Spacek wins her 2nd.

I don’t know what to think of “on the basis of sex”, Felicity’s chances are good but I don’t know if hammer’s “supporting husband” role is enough to get a nomination.

This is my first time on this thread… has anyone mentioned Melissa McCarthy as a strong contender for Best Actress? She’s my early bet. For Supporting, Cynthia Erivo in Widows. I’m also hoping this is the year James Gray finally breaks through with the Academy.

Yes, McCarthy is just outside of my top 5 for right now but I have a good feeling about her.  I also think there’s already a set fall release date for her movie so that’s good news.

Early reactions for Annihilation are that it is actually a masterpiece. Also, that the ending is something people will talk about for decades. I could see this becoming a sleeper hit. Makes me wonder why the producers hated it, and won’t let it play in theaters anywhere else but America.

Because they were dumb in thinking that Mother, Suburbicon, and Downsizing were good awards contenders.

I’m too excited for this movie, it’s a shame Paramount doesn’t have faith in this.

Its a shame because Paramount needs some wins.

Early reactions are almost always better than the actual reviews.

This is true. People want to hype it up to show off that they’ve seen it before others.
