A very complicated list. Not as good as that top 100 the BBC came up with earlier this year (it helped that more people voted on that poll). But at least it’s not too obvious.

Didn’t the BBC list have The Master in the top 25? That movie is awful which makes this a little better.

Munich and Million Dollar Baby? Really? Boyhood again in their top 10? Though Spirited Away and YiYi can stay slaying these critics polls. I’m sure if BBC did an updated list to include the 2016 movies, La La Land, Moonlight, and Arrival would make it in though.

It had Toni Erdmann already, which is from 2016.

I believe the list was posted in August 2016 though, which was before the Oscar movies were released, but I wouldn’t know what they’d kick out to fit the newer movies.

Boyhood being #8 is stupid. Aside from the ’12-year project’ thing, what is special about it???? It’s been 3 years and i’m still trying to figure it out.

I’m trying to figure out why all these critics also like Inside Out, cute concept but too much of Joy/Sadness if only Joy had faded like that imaginary friend….

I will never escape Boyhood. Such an awful film, I still want those 2.5 hours of my life back and it’s been years since I’ve seen it.

Im actually surprised la la land isn’t on this list, because “everybody” loved it. Except when they didn’t and it’s mia from these lists.

Yeah, really. I was scrolling through the page going, “please don’t be on here please don’t be on here…” and when I got to the end I felt semi-rejuvenated. Unfortunately it’ll probably be in the newer editions of 1001 Films To See Before You Die :/.
