I’m definately not part of the majority on this but I didn’t like “Beasts of the Southern Wild” but thought Wallis was incredible.

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! Kudos to Alice Morel-Michaud, as I am openly biased.

It’s telling that the very young require their own awards/categories to garner some well-earned attention.

I’m not so sure you’re in any kind of vast minority in not caring for Beasts. Me? I am enchanted and thrilled to see a small film with a small child at the centre living in one of the few free societies left in the world, with no bigotry or prejudice, no Big Eye in the sky, no racism, ageism, sexism, or social stratifications…..Hurray!

    Phew……

^ What about Kathryn Newton beating her? I’m surprised by that tie. Anybody see Paranormal Activity 4?

I saw it. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t that good. She wasn’t that great.

I liked the message of the movie and the themes but I wish I could really pinpoint what I didn’t like about it in a better way. I just felt like it could have been much better.

I did watch Paranormal Activity 4. Horrid film. But Kathryn was a revelation!
