Good luck getting DDL to return!!!!
He wasnt there in 2008 when they had 5  previous best actor winners present
and ultimately the least talented actor, Michael Douglas got to open the envelope.

My bet for Best Picture is they get a legend this year. Which one I’m not sure.

I do think if they are preparing for a 12YAS win, they’ll get someone like Sidney Poitier

I did think that he wouldn’t come
Then Steve Martin can present it

He presented after winning in 89. Maybe he only likes to present alone.

I think Woody Allen will present director or the screenplay categories.

Christoph Waltz didn’t present after he won last time, nor did Day-Lewis. Both may do it this time out of respect to the Academy for their repeat wins.

Steve Martin and Angelina Jolie will definitely be presenting. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Martin take Picture or Director.

Would love to see Louis CK present, especially since he is in two likely BP nominees (American Hustle and Blue Jasmine).

Sidney Poitier presenting BP or BD would be like Streisand presenting BD the year Bigelow won – a sweet idea but a major presumption.

This would be amazing, but there are a few issues:

    1. He never attends these things
    2. He is likely to be a nominee in both categories

    PLEASE PRODUCERS! BE INVENTIVE!
    BAN THESE PEOPLE FROM PRESENTING

Picture – Jack Nicholson, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand
Directing – Michael Douglas (two years in a row?)

    My wish list

Best Picture — Peter O’Toole & Omar Sharif  (as a tribute to O’Toole’s career, the Academy owes him, even him alone)
Best Directing — Francis Ford Coppola & Al Pacino & Robert De Niro & Robert Duvall & James Caan (especially with 2014 marking the 40th anniversary of The Godfather Part Ii and they didn’t pay any tribute to The Godfather two years ago)
Best Original Screenplay — Mia Farrow, Diane Wiest, Barbara Hershey (I’ve always wanted the three sisters together)
Best Adapted Screenplay — Emma Thompson & Anthony Hopkins (please, I want them together there!)
Best Foreign Language Film — Liv Ullman & Max von Sydow (imagine the standing ovation!)
Best Music, Score — Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio
Best Music, Song — Streisand & Redford together!!!

Great choices. O’Toole and Ullmann in particular would be amazing.

Kinda love the idea of Redford and Streisand presenting together.

Streisand would definitely be one of those divas who must present alone (unless she really likes her partner and its promotional), and one of the top awards.  Best not to invite her.

Love the ideas above for BP and BD!  Lawrence of Arabia + The Godfather Part II reunions, two of the best winners ever in Oscar history.  Instead of always celebrating Gone with the Wind and Titanic (remember the year Anne and James hosted and these movies marked “acts” of the telecast?), the movies Academy producers think the American public loves and believes to be the greatest movies, do special tributes to Lawrence and Godfather II and inform those who may have never heard of them of their greatness.  Celebrate the great movies, past and present (not a best picture winner like Chicago that isn’t a universal classic or popular Spielberg/Lucas movies)—THAT is what the Oscars exist for.

I know that it’s a less than 1% chance, but it would just be great if he actually came for once. If that happened, he would be my first choice to present.
