I don’t know if it is just me and I am totally crazy, needing the Shutter Island treatment; but, I just have a certain select few Actors and Actresses that I will watch in anything and I feel incredibly protective of. Like I’ll keep track on their upcoming projects and see if they’ll have a possible career resurgence and maybe awards potential.

I might be alone here, but we all have our favorites and I think it’s a good idea to talk about some of our favorite people and some of the projects you think will help them conquer the world and destroy all those who aren’t as great as them. Or certain career moves they should take to do better. My favorites are the ones who a lot of people don’t know about that always give great work. The best is when you have watched they kept up with their career for a while and then you see them win Oscars.

Actually, I remember being about 6 or 7 and having a crush on this girl in a Disney Channel Original Movie called Right On Track. Then I saw her in a movie called Sleepover (bad movie), then I saw her in Hoot. My mom was a big Toni Collette fan so we watched her in United States of Tara. She popped up in 21 Jump Street and now she’s an Oscar winner. It’s so weird that stuff like that happens.
My favorites are people like Lisa Kudrow, Lauren Graham, Emma Watson, Michael B Jordan, Chloe Moretz, Ashley Greene (give her a CW comedy), Jason Segel, and etc

I don’t know we all have our favorites. Discuss. I’ll go check into Briarcliff Asylum.

Yep, I will pretty much love and root for Andrew Garfield, Tom Hardy and Rachel McAdams. I honestly thought Rachel McAdams was so good in the Notebook and have wanted good roles for her ever since. Andrew Garfield is just so good in everything and I really want his Social Network snub redeemed eventually. And Tom Hardy is just amazing in everything he does. I will watch him in anything!

Too many to name really. In no particular order: Maggie Smith, Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Miranda Hart, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Blunt, Michelle Dockery, Olivia Colman, Lisa Kudrow, Lea Michele, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Aniston, Ralph Fiennes, Emma Thompson, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Meryl Streep, Keira Knightely, Tom Hanks, Judi Dench, Alan Rickman (RIP), Julie Walters. In short, a LOT of women yet somehow I’m still disappointed every Oscar season.

I will watch anything Ian McKellan or Emily Blunt will do. I’ve really been rooting for Emma Watson lately because I think she’s far better than the movies she’s been in since Harry Potter and I have high hopes for Beauty and the Beast. Amy Adams is always great and she’s in multiple movies this year that I’m planning to see. I’ve loved Cate Blanchett in everything except Knight of Cups, and Adam Driver is going to be a huge star in both blockbusters and Oscar contenders. Viola Davis is another I just have to see whenever she does a movie.

I tend to root hardest for actors whom I latched onto before they got widespread recognition. I’ve been rooting for Laura Linney since “Congo,” Rachel Weisz since “The Mummy Returns,” and Viola Davis since I think “Antwone Fisher” and “Solaris.”

JESSICA LANGE. She’ll always be #1 for me but then again, I’ve been a fan of hers since pre-pubescence.

    Marion Cotillard

I love Tom Hardy and Cate Blanchett as well, but my ‘rooting factor’ for Cotillard is uncomparable, specially considering her underestimated by the academy, even though she’s a winner.

There aren’t that many, actually – Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Jessica Lange and Maggie Smith.
