    Interesting.

I wonder what the odds were then for a BP win for the visionary, excellent and mind-blowing The Matrix?
    Zero? Lol!!

If I had to choose between what won that year and The Matrix as a long-time companion, I’d go with the latter almost every time.
    Just sayin’…..

Well Toy Story 2 deserved a Best Picture and Adapted Screenplay nod, as well as tying a win with Tarzan in Best Original Song (both songs are excellent!)

Other than Twister, this was the film which alerted me fully to the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman. His brief, but unforgettable turn here made me a fan.

I like The End of the Affair, Neil Jordan, Richard Farnsworth, Winona Ryder, Christopher Plummer and Brittany Murphy.

OSCAR FLASHBACK: Best Original Song (1958) – Gigi? Seriously, Academy?
