The 2nd film of annabelle lived up the hypes by reliving  all those childhood trauma which associated wth paranormal activities.  Apparition at the dark stairway, something lurking underneath bed etc, however the truth is.. from scale 1 to 10, it only delivered less than half horror impact to me.  Or simply put i think annabelle creation was a bit overrated by the critics. It is remotely less scarier relatively to conjuring films which centers around the renowned demonologists ed and lorraine played by patrick wilson and verra farmiga.

Sometimes i just felt the plots and scripts in annabelle were too sketchy, predictable and funny .

Nonetheless annabelle is still watchable, just dont put in too much expectation, it should be pleasing straight horror movie goers.

Just a small thought. No horror films are OVERRATED these days. In a fair world films like Drag Me To Hell, Get Out, Split, The Conjuring, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Witch and so on should be on Oscar radar, but they never are. Horror films are UNDERRATED.

Now, I haven’t seen this film, but just because your personal is that it’s overrated, I wouldn’t call it that. The critics gave it 69%, and the audience rated it 79%. I would say it’s liked, not loved overall. It’s what you described: “watchable”.
