To me, these three are the Three Amigos of A-listers who have lost it and now only appear in either D-list movies or big-budget films that are pure Razzie bait.

I would put Charlie Sheen in as a Fourth Amigo, but he’s in a class by himself.

Depp has at least been in financially successful movies recently. I still think he could get nominated and maybe even win an Oscar in the future. I feel like Carrey has at least one more memorable role in him. I don’t see Cage making a comeback.

I think Jim Carrey could be a Christopher Plummer type and not get an Oscar nod until he’s way old. He could come back he just… He just really needs to get his head on straight. The dude has seemed pretty weird lately and not in a funny way.

Johnny Depp is DONE in my humble opinion. I’m still a little bitter he couldn’t win a Razzie for Pirates 5. Unlike Carrey and especially Cage, not only has he been choosing shitty roles and delivering consistently terrible performances, but he also has the #MeToo movement up his ass considering Amber Heard’s abuse allegations against him. The dude had his lines fed to him during the making of Pirates 5! Say what you will about Tom Cruise in The Mummy, but at least Mr. Scientology could remember his own damn lines, which I would argue makes his performance superior to Depp’s objectively on a level of acting alone.

For his basic incompetence as an actor recently combined with the way he allegedly treats women in the #MeToo era, Depp is soon to be gone for good, I believe. Even those terrible paycheck roles in major Hollywood blockbusters will dry up eventually.

Nicolas Cage will definitely come back someday, its just a question of when that will be. Most likely it will be for a small indie film in which he wows the critics with his nuanced and ham-free acting, which he is capable of doing, he just doesn’t do that very often anymore.

Carrey had his own women issues to deal with recently. Two years ago, he was sued for wrongful death by the family of his deceased ex-girlfriend. The lawsuit claimed that Carrey drove his ex-girlfriend to suicide by providing her with drugs and also giving her at least three different STDs. Last month, the case was thrown out of court, so Carrey is officially innocent in the eyes of the law. However, that doesn’t mean his reputation is going to recover right away, if ever. He could make a comeback, but I don’t think he will ever again reach the same heights that he reached in the ’90s and early 2000s, thanks to this scandal.

Depp was good in Orient Express it seemed like he’s calmed down after his personal life fell apart. I’m hopeful for Fantastic Beasts 2 (even though Farrell should be his part), but I am worried social media is going to try and kill that movie.

Nicolas Cage had financial problems. I think he has had to just take the highest paying jobs he can find and hasn’t been able to look for quality roles.

He could come back easily after he pays his debts.

There was a time….when Johnny Depp was a good actor. Now, unlike others I never found him anything special, but I gotta admit films like Finding Neverland, Ed Wood or A Nightmare on Elm Street impressed me in his career….

But in the last 10-12 years he’s been constantly giving bad performances in terrible films (Pirates, Alice, Transcendence, Lone Ranger, Mortdecai) and he is also actually the worst part of every fine movie he has been in (Into the Woods, Murder on the Orient Express). He should be nowhere near Oscar consideration ever again, but more like he has to finally win a damn Razzie Award. He is truly among the worst and most annoying actors around these days.

It wasn’t that long ago that Depp was contending for an Oscar nomination for Black Mass. He’s obviously gotten lazy for the most part (he’s had financial troubles too, if that’s an excuse for Cage it is for Depp too) but I think, even despite the allegations against him by Heard that he’s a really well respected and popular actor that a lot of people think should have already had an Oscar before his career started going downhill. If he can get his shit together and put together a string of good performances in good movies, one of them will likely get awards attention.

About the ear-piece shit, so what? Johnny Depp is purportedly a disciple of fuckin’ Marlon Brando of all people, so you’d expect the ear-piece shit to come into his acting “eccentricities”.

Regarding his abuse allegations, he’s proven himself to a pretty slimy little fucker who will probably make another couple of million from a big-budget shitfest while the creep factor is all but ignored. I’m not holding much hope unfortunately.

Johnny Depp: For every good one he does he seems to make two or three bad choices.
Nicholas Cage: God bless him but this guy doesn’t seem to say no to a script.
Jim Carey: After 2011 and Mr Popper’s Penguins which is actually good, he seems to have taken a wrong turn and what he does make aren’t good.

Cage is the only one of those three I can see making a comeback as he’s still well-liked in the industry and has worked with everyone. He’ll be the guy who gets an Oscar nom for something he does in his 60s or 70s.
