    Hi guys,

As you know I have an Oscar blog called Award Review

    http://awardreview.blogspot.co.uk/

I’m doing the hot year 1987 which is part of a Meryl Streep Project in which I review all her nominated years – I’ve already done 2006,2008,2009,2011

Already written about Cher, Glenn and Meryl and I’ve just seen Broadcast News.

Who do you gus think should win?

    Nominees are:

    Cher – Moonstruck
    Glenn Close – Fatal Attraction
    Holly Hunter – Broadcast News
    Sally Kirkland – Anna
    Meryl Streep – Ironweed

You can also put rankings from 5th to 1st and check my blog out to to see how I do end up ranking them.

    Thanks

It may have been a flawed and over-the-top performance at times but it was a crazy character and I love the film more than most.

    My vote is Glenn Close.

#5-Meryl Streep, Ironweed (still very good)
    #4-Sally Kirkland, Anna
    #3-Cher, Moonstruck
    #2-Holly Hunter, Broadcast News
    #1-Glenn Close, Fatal Attraction

Close, by a mile, and Streisand should have been nominated for her performance in Nuts instead of Streep.

Ummm wiabout Supporting Actress? That lineup was much better than the trainwreck of a nominees for Best Actress.

Close…bleh…can’t stand this film or her performance.  I think IRONWEED is one of Streep’s absolute finest performances, but I’m too enchanted by Cher’s earthy comic work in MOONSTRUCK.
