There usually isn’t a specific thread to follow Berlinale Film Festival, which is unfortunate since it’s one of the most significant event of the year for cinema, so I decided to make one.

Here’s the list of films which will be screened during the festival (15-25/02/18):

    https://www.berlinale.de/en/presse/pressemitteilungen/wettbewerb/wettbewerb-presse-detail_42070.html

Quite a diversified list of names, from popular filmmakers (Wes Anderson, Steve Sodenbergh) to the less mainstream ones (Christian Petzold, Lav Diaz).

So excited for Isle of Dogs. I NEED to see the reviews. Wes Anderson is my second favorite filmmaker.

I don’t remember, do they usually spread the wealth?

I’m rooting for Figlia Mia. Laura Bispuri is almost completely unknown even in her own country, but her first feature was great and had an hypnotic sense of visuals that made it unforgettable. I hope she continues this way!
