“Ghostbusters” is no doubt going to be a big hit this summer, which begs the question: which other all-male films should be remade into all-female films? Discuss!June 3, 2016 at 10:02 am #1201847048
I’d love to see Stand By Me made with girls. 12yr old girls can make the team here look like, well, wooses.
There’s 12 Angry “Men”. What about, 12 Reasonable Women?
Plenty of others. I’ll think about them and post again later….June 3, 2016 at 10:22 am #1201847062
babypook beat me to it with the 12 Angry Men. This was one of the movies that me and my cousins always come up with dream casts for. I already can see a huge name cast awhile back so I’m just gonna share it. Don’t see it happening though lol.:
2)Jennifer Jason Leigh

Lord of the Flies with a slew of vicious adolescent girls would be a must see event.June 3, 2016 at 5:31 pm #1201847168
Some time ago I had heard somebody suggest Ocean’s Eleven with an all-female cast. I think that would make perfect sense.June 3, 2016 at 6:12 pm #1201847181
Lawrence of Arabia since the original has an all-male cast.
“Florence of Arabia” maybe?

I’d love to see one of those male-dominated historical movies get gender-bent, like “Imitation Game” or “The Revenant” or even something more contemporary like “The Big Short.” Why not? Most biopics and docudramas are already of dubious accuracy, and “Hamilton” has shown that you can do a lot by viewing true events from a different demographic prism.June 5, 2016 at 10:31 am #1201847557
Lord of the Flies with a slew of vicious adolescent girls would be a must see event.
Didn’t The Simpsons do this already…sort of? With Lisa licking “slime” rather than hunt and kill a boar?
Anyways, could be an interesting remake, especially if they keep the spirit of the novel intact.June 6, 2016 at 7:49 pm #1201848028
How about something like Swimming with Sharks or Office Space with a primarily female cast.June 8, 2016 at 3:11 pm #1201848589
