As little as I care about the MTV movie awards, this category is always intriguing, since villains are my favorite part of any movie. It’s disgusting that Hayden Christensen was being recognized for Star Wars. As a whole, I’d say Fiennes in the HP series was the best of these, but since he was barely in Goblet of Fire, and his best work was in the final two movies, I’m giving it to Swinton for her excellent work as the Witch, with Murphy as a close second (Even though Neeson should have been nominated instead).

I agree. Tobin Bell or Ralph Fiennes should have won that year.

If you don’t mind me asking, would you have nominated Cillian Murphy for Red Eye instead of Batman Begins?

Red Eye was one of the movies I didn’t get to see that year, and I never got around to catching up. I wasn’t as big on movies ten years ago as I am now.

Yeesh. Murphy, I guess? Christensen was Razzie-worthy.

If I’m not mistaken, Christensen was Razzie-winning that year.

I actually say Tobin Bell was the best. He gave a very menacing performance without a whole lot of screen time. Such a dark and memorable villain that, given to a lesser actor, might have been generic, annoying, or forgettable.

Isn’t it just like the stupid ol’ MTV Movie Awards that the worst of the nominees, Hayden Christensen, was the ultimate winner in the end? 😉

I gotta say, Cillian Murphy was good in Red Eye. That’s basically like 2 performances in one

Fiennes and Swinton! Both should have gotten real nominations for those performances
