These are my Best Actress nominees for 1968. Feel free to vote for your pick.
Well, you took out the best nominee of the Academy’s five, Joanne Woodward for “Rachel, Rachel.”
Of those, Hepburn, though they’re all quite wonderful.
Hepburn gave the most sophisticated acting here.
Redgrave was mezmerizing as Isadora Duncan, Mia Farrow was equally spectacular in Rosemary’s Baby. But Barbra Striesand gave the definitive star turn as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. Oscar should have been hers alone in 1968.
Barbra Streisand in “Funny Girl”
One of the best lineups of this category, I would vote for Streisand because that is what I call a ”star turning performance”.
This should’ve been Joanne’s 2nd Oscar. From the poll: Hepburn or Redgrave
Queen Hepburn and her alone
This should’ve been Barbra’s Oscar alone.
Wow, they even manage to tie here.
