Julianne Moore was voted overwhelmingly as best in show in our poll for ‘Boogie Nights’. One day a Gold Derby poll, next the Oscars. Stay strong J-Moore!

We’ll shy away from the seriousness of Oscar baits and baitesses as well as the ACTRESSing and look at one of the silliest and biggest Marvel studio films in recent memory: ‘The Avengers’. So…who was best in show??

    You have 2 days!

Shocked on the poll idea. I don’t really feel like there were any “worthy” performances in this. Sorry.

Hmmm…..it’s between The Hulk and Loki for me I think….

Mark Ruffalo. I love it when he gets mad.

lol Umm I’m not saying you should opine about the perfs based on whether they’re ‘Oscar worthy’, it’s more like whose was more enjoyable? suprising?

I don’t really like The Avengers to be completely frank, but I think a poll of this would a breath of fresh air. And it’ll be interesting to see who did people prefer.

For me, it was Mark Ruffalo. The Hulk is ALWAYS better in small doses and that’s why it worked, and Ruffalo played Bruce Banner down perfectly. I wished he was this good in The Normal Heart (oops!  )

    Hey, is this snobland?

If you take a look at the individual actors up there, they’re all capable and talented. Nothing wrong with them getting down and dirty with a crowd-pleaser.

Could have an Oscar winner or two within their ranks in the next year or so……

Chris Evans was my fav so I went with him but RDJ was a close second. Sidenote, I LOVE the idea for this poll. Not every movie used has to be a Oscar fav lol.

I’m fine with the ones with big oscary casts, but this is undeniably an ensemble film, with the actors on this list having 6 oscar noms between them. But, I do have to go with one of the non-nominated in the group, Hiddleston. It’s the only time I liked a performance of his, and now every time I see him, I just see Loki.

This is between RDJ, Hiddleston, and Johansson. RDJ has better showcases in the individual Iron Man films, and Johansson upped herself in Winter Soldier, so I’m gonna go with Hiddleston, who IMO has created the best superhero/comic book villain on film, second only to Heath Ledger’s Joker.

Easily Hiddleston. Ruffalo was a great surprise, and Downey’s as good as always as Tony Stark. But Hiddleston just steals the picture.
