I’m going with MeLeo. She was just a hurricane of a scene stealer. Loved. it. Sometimes, you need to have the classic Oscar plate smasher.

The main four actors were as great as MeLeo, of course.

All 4 were great. I’d go with Bale, with Adams a close second.

Bale for me. I thought he was quite fun in conveying Dickie’s attempts to be a larger than life figure, and also pretty great at expressing his heartbreak and vulnerability.

Here is where I loved Amy Adams. She was spectacular here. If Hallie Steinfeld was counted as a lead for True Grit that year, I would have rooted all for Adams to win that year. Leo is great but I really loved Adams more. Mark Wahlberg was awesome too. I don’t get all the love for Bale’s performance. Now I am not saying he is bad I just don’t see it as an Oscar winning performance. I also loved all the sisters mostly Conan O’Brian’s sister.

Christian Bale. Haters gonna hate, but I thought he was amazing and totally deserved his Oscar. Very close second for me was Adams. IMHO, she should’ve won over Leo (also very good though). And Wahlberg is quite underrated in this flick.

Wahlberg got NO love for a very good performance. He has some support from me.

Actually he pulled a gg nod. He also had some minor critic support but it ultimately didn’t get bitten by the oscars.

He won’t win this poll just like he lost the GG. He shouldn’t play 2nd fiddle to his costars. His performance was just as good as theirs.

Oh definitely. I thought Wahlberg was the ground that needed to level the crazy family that surrounds him. he was perfect as Mickey Ward. But the Oscars tend to go for the louder performances.

Cannot decide between Wahlberg and Adams. Both Bale and Leo were ridiculously overacting.

Adams is clearly the best in an otherwise uneven ensemble. I don’t know what voters saw in Leo.
