One of my favorite films of 2002..
    In this order of preference…
    1. Kidman
    2. Moore
    3. Dillane
    4. Streep
    5. Harris
    6. Collette
    7. Daniels
    8. Richardson
    9. Reilly
    10.Atkins

Its really hard to separate and rate acting in a film with
such magnificent performances..Most of this film left me
    breathless!!!

What a movie and what a level of acting! But the decision was easy – Julianne Moore. For many reasons, but the most important being her final conversation with Streep.

Tough one. I´m gonna go for a 3 way tie. But lets give it to the one who keeps (stupidly) getting shit for winning that deserved oscar.

Well, I’m not a huge fan of The Hours. I didnt care for either Harris, or Streep. But I LOVED Moore. I went with her.

Cate Blanchett in an interview in 2003 with Variety (?) singled out Meryl Streep’s performance in The Hours as her favorite and one of the best she’s seen.  This was the testimonial Blanchett did on an “Actor-on-Actor Series”.

She’s lying, in a good way. Streep, is awful here.

No, she’s not. At least not for me. All three are great in their “time lines”.

Well, I really love that film and I don’t need Etchie. I just don’t get why she’s “awful” there. I like them all equally. It’s subjective, pook. Like everything. 😉
Though obviously I’m glad she got nominated for Adaptation. I still wish she had won for that.

Are you playing with your words anew ???

So when you posted earlier “She’s lying, in a good way. Streep, is awful here.”, you were saying Blanchett was saying Streep was awful and not you given your quote immediately above “I dont think Meryl was awful.”

This movie was terrible but Julianne Moore made it worth it. Streep did too but she didn’t do anything amazing
