Anne. But this is probably Jackman’s best performance ever. I also really enjoyed Redmayne and Barks. I nominated all four for personal awards.

My biggest problem with Anne (including her win) is while she delivers the goods on that one key scene/song, everything leading up to this is OK at best, but not (to these eyes) anything special.

Jackman has a harder part and never waries from his complete conviction.  I have plenty of problems with the film (and some of the casting) but he is very good.

Samantha Barks was the most inoffensive.

Anne, then Hugh.  But really everybody other than Russell Crowe was fantastic.

Can we do a worst in show just so we can get a unanimous win by Crowe? Haha

Yeah, Crowe is just terrible in this (and in everything, really….).

    1. Hathaway
    2. Redmayne

    3. Jackman
    4. Seyfried

    5. The Rest

Very hard choice between Jackman and Hathaway but I went with Hathaway. Redmayne, Coen, Carter, and Tviet were also amazing.

I thought Redmayne and Seyfried were worse, actually. Redmayne has a better voice, sure, but he was really forcing it and was even more one-note than Crowe. Seyfried sounded like a chipmunk with added vibrato effects.

I’m not really a fan of this film or a majority of it’s performances, but I’ll go with Jackman. He’s a dedicated performer, and he really gives it his all. Hathaway is fine enough in parts, but then terribly overwrought in others; this has to be for me one of the most overrated perfs of all time. I only cope with her Oscar win by pretending it was for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’.

Samantha Barks just was such a bright spot here.  So much better than Hathaway.

Samantha Barks was the highlight for me, even moreso than Hathaway.

Anne and Hugh are currently tied, so vote people, your vote can be the deciding one! there is only a few hours left to vote
