    Some of my favourites are…

“Your Heart Will Lead You Home” – The Tigger Movie (one of my favourite movies as a kid. I love this song so much)
“I Believe I Can Fly” – Space Jam (controversy aside, this song is really well-known and the snub is unbelievable)
“New Divide” – Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (the movie sucks, but the song is really good!)

I had Who Did That To You by John Legend on repeat. It deserved at least a nomination over that chasing ice song. Oh and that Pi Lullaby song which I’m still shocked got on.

“Star Spangled Man”- Captain America: The First Avenger (Wow, was the Song branch lazy this year with only two slots.)

About half of the songs on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (Threshold, Garbage Truck, We Are Sex Bob-Omb!) (This soundtrack beats practicakly the entire lineup)

“Just What I Need”- Bring It On

“Scotty Doesn’t Know”- Eurotrip (Film itself would never come near the Oscars, but it’s such a catchy tune.)

“Help Yourself”- Up In The Air (Eligibility rules aside, I thought this one got badly snubbed)

“So You Know What It’s Like”- Short Term 12 (Alone Yet Not Alone got disqualified. Maybe this one could’ve filled the void)

Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful” from The Great Gatsby should have won.

Safe and Sound – by Taylor Swift and the Civil Wars. It was ineligible so i see why it never got in but it was such a great song with solid lyrics. It did win the Grammy though!

“Lily’s Song” from Chico & Rita, though I’m not sure if it was submitted or not.

The snub of Coldplay’s “Atlas” from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is completely inexcusable.

Here’s another one. I’m pretty sure you’ll recognize it:

I’ve always wondered why that happened. It was a critically acclaimed, grammy winning song that was a billboard success and featured in a box office hit. Sure, it was a kid’s movie that didn’t get great reviews, but when have either of those ever stopped an original song nomination before? Does anyone know why the snub happened because on paper it seems tailor made for this category.

    Another one:

I’d say the Globes have far better taste than their lofty counterparts

While I do like that song, it was ineligible since The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride was direct-to-video and never got a theatrical release.
