“Happy” (Despicable Me 2)
“Let It Go” (Frozen)
“The Moon Song” (Her)
“Ordinary Love” (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom)
Most pundists and users have “Let It Go” from Frozen as the best song winner in this category, but my hunch is that it’s going to be “Ordinary Love” from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. I think the latter’s political significance matched with U2 finally winning here, plus the Golden Globe win- make it seem almost inevitable (though by no means a lock).
What are other people’s take? Why are so many predicting “Let It Go”? Don’t get me wrong, it would be a fine winner- but is there a certain reason? Blockbuster animated features often do well here, and it’s made a lot of money- but…I don’t get why more aren’t going for “Ordinary Love”. Also we shouldn’t rule out “The Moon Song” or “Happy”; in face, this is a pretty solid Best Song list, and it’s too bad “Alone Yet Not Alone” couldn’t remain here.

If Great Gatsby was nominated for “Young and Beautiful” I think Lana del Rey could’ve spoiled, but sadly she got omitted. Yeah, I think Frozen is indeed the frontrunner.
