These are my Best Supporting Actor nominees for 1996. Feel free to vote for your pick.
I know it’s not a very popular performance but I get a real kick out of Woods’ scenery-chewing turn. He breathes life into a stunningly lifeless picture.
OSCAR FLASHBACK: Best Original Song (2007) – Falling for “Falling Slowly”
Here, I vote for Steve Buscemi in Fargo and would nominate William H. Macy for Best Actor where (I think) he wins there.
Steve Buscemi, Fargo
Edward Norton, Primal Fear
Peter Stormare, Fargo
Derek Jacobi, Hamlet
Robert Carlyle, Trainspotting
Edward Norton , Primal Fear
Ed Norton, definitely. Macy was category fraud, and Buscemi should have been nominated for supporting for sure. I also think Samuel L. Jackson deserved a nomination for A Time To Kill.
Where’s Armin Mueller Stahl for Shine?
Why is William H. Macy in Supporting when he was more of a lead than Frances McDormand, who WON in lead?
Macy was the best of these 5 nominees, but on principle of not supporting (NO pun intended) obvious category fraud, my hypothetical Oscar vote would have gone to Edward Norton for Primal Fear.
However, my vote here of your nominees, Darthvader12, would go to actual Fargo Supporting player Steve Buscemi.
