These are the Best Supporting Actor nominees for 2003. Feel free to vote for your pick.
Tim Robbins. Although Geoffrey Rush should’ve been nominated for Pirates of the Caribbean.
Robbins deserved it.
Sean Astin for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was shockingly snubbed for a nomination and a well deserved win.
I wanted to vote for Tim but for some reason it says I voted for Alec so I guess that’s my vote.
Benicio Del Toro. Robbins was okay in Mystic River but it wasn’t all that.
Tim Robbins. And I don’t know why many people seem to have problem with his win. He was amazing.
Tim Robbins: amazing performance.
Voted for Robbins.
Sean Astin, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Paul Bettany, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
Benecio Del Toro, 21 Grams
Djimon Hounsou, In America
Tim Robbins, Mystic River
Del Toro. Hounsou and Robbins are awfully one-note here. Watanabe has some nice screen presence but it’s not an especially compelling performance. I love Baldwin, but this isn’t among his best work by any stretch.
