Gordon is indeed fantastic, but Parsons is even better. Carlin’s marvelous too. The other two, meh.
I think Ruth Gordon in “Rosemary’s Baby” is one of the best winners in this category ever…definitely in my top five.
To me it is between Parsons and Carlin. I voted Carlin
Ruth Gordon is terrific here. Actually, Roman Polanski directed Gordon in one of my favorite movie moments. Gordon is a woman with a secret. She is making a phone call in the bedroom. The camera is outside the door frame with Gordon’s back partially visible. Every time I have seen the film, the viewers will lean to attempt to look for a better view. So clever how we are manipulated!
