I went with Kirsten Dunst. I do love Anne Hathaway, but I love how Dunst has been doing legitimate work since she was a child and she continues to.

Some key movies on Dunst’s CV missing from the OP: The Virgin Suicides, Wag the Dog, Little Women and Dick–all made before The Princess Diaries even came out.  Dunst has more mileage and breadth.  She definitely gets my vote.

Do you even have to ask?

    Anne all the Hatha-way.

I don’t think Hathaway’s Emmy for voicing a one-off character on The Simpsons really carries that much weight.

I was weighing this pretty heavily until I was reminded that Dunst has Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Now, she definitely gets my vote.

Awards recognition says nothing of quality of one’s filmography.

This is a tough one. I like both of these women and their work but it’s Kirsten’s films that I enjoy more. What a difference between Interview/Vampire and Ella Enchanted.

She’s been good in earlier films but I decided after Marie Antoinette that Kirsten can act. And she’s followed that up with great perfs in Melancholia, and Upside Down. And I do love her Mary Jane Watson.

Can’t say I’m a fan of either. ButI I really admire Dunst’s desire to continue challenging herself despite her limitations. And her filmography is filled with a lot interesting flicks. Also, I simply prefer ‘Eternal Sunshine” and Spiderman 2 to anything Anne’s been in.

Neither have the best filmography. Voted Hathaway only because I´ve seen more of her. But now I remembered that Dunst has two films that crush Hathaways entire filmography, so I switch my vote…even if I cant.

Hathaway’s performance in “Rachel Getting Married” is alone better than Dunst’s entire career. So Anne.

That says absolutely nothing about her filmography (which is what the voting is for).  It just proves she was good in one role.
