While they both have legit films on their resume, I gave the vote to Brad Pitt. Not only does he have a legit filmography, but a  more respectable one, i would say because he’ll take a role no matter how big or small it is while Leo tends to always be front and center in his films. Not saying that’s a bad thing, though.

This is a very close one. I voted for DiCaprio but I want Brad Pitt to win too lol. DiCaprio has great films with Scorsese. He has also worked with Cameron, Tarantino, Nolan and Spielberg. Brad worked with Fincher, Tarantino, Malick, the Coens, Scott and Bennett Miller. I think DiCaprio is slightly more consistent and has fewer duds, that’s why I went with him.

Based on the films, not the performances the guys give. Out of the list, I love the Brad Pitt films more than the DiCaprio ones.

Pitt takes on genuine challenges as an actor. He’s willing to work with emerging talent. Along with co-financing productions Hollywood is unwilling to invest in. Pitt also is not hung up on being the lead every time he makes a movie. Some of his best performances were supporting roles. Pitt for all his Hollywood good looks and limitations as an actor does amazing things in brief character roles. There is no one he can’t work with. DiCaprio stays clear of the truly weird and provocative auteurs and his filmography suffers for it.

Going just on films and not performances, this one is tough. Pitt has some real diversity (Tree of Life, Babel, Moneyball, Assassination of Jesse James, Twelve Monkeys, Se7en, Fight Club), and DiCaprio is in some of my favorites (Inception, Django Unchained, The Departed, Catch Me If You Can). I think I have to go with Pitt. If this were performances, I’d choose Leo.
