    Very strong showing for “’71”.

Based on what I’ve read, I’m surprised to see Keira Knightley in the lead category.

And it’s impressive to see Gugu Mbatha-Raw has been nominated for independent film awards on both sides of the Atlantic for different movies (“Beyond the Lights” at the Gothams and “Belle” here).

The Imitation Game couldn’t score a Director nomination. Interesting.

Loving the nominations for Gugu Mbatha-Raw!

Over at indiewire they pointed out that this now makes Mbatha-Raw the most nominated actor so far this season. Obviously its only two awards that mean almost nothing precursor wise but its interesting haha

    Oh god yes

If not for Timothy Spall, I think Brendan Gleeson would’ve won this in a landslide.
