Chris has been feeling rotten all week, finally went to the hospital today — he’s having gall bladder surgery in the morning (Sat). We’ll keep ya posted. Please send Chris good wishes, positive vibes and lotsa luv
Here’s the latest update from Chris, sent to us via his iPhone:
Going to be at hospital longer. The stomach doctor will do a procedure Sunday
morning to remove a stone that is blocking my duct. If everything goes ok my
other surgeon will then remove gall bladder on Monday. Maybe I go home day after
that? I feel good but nervous since I’ve never had surgery before. Thanks for
thinking about me.
Get well soon Chris!
Thx for the update
Any surgery is risky, but this one is usually pretty routine – great to hear Chris expects to be released shortly after.
I had mine out about 7 or 8 years ago (in my late 30’s) and it was fantastic. Seriously. To have all that pain go away was worth it. I had the surgery at 6pm or so and was home before lunch the next day. For about a week (maybe more, maybe less) you’ll feel like you did a million sit-ups and you’ll need help getting out of chairs but after that, well, that will vary by patient. But now I will never have to worry about having a recurrence because I ain’t got a gall bladder anymore. Best wishes for a successful surgery and rapid recovery.
Hey Chris, here’s wishing you a speedy recovery and lotsa luv!
Best wishes Chris.
All my best for a quick and speedy recovery. Take your time with recovery. How’s the hospital food going for you? I am glad that they are catching some things before they get worse for you later on. Not the best way to start out Summr of 12! Follow doctor’s orders and take your meds as prescribed. Be well soon.
Get well Chris 🙂
