Name your favourite comedic actors (and when I say “comedic actors”, I mean actors that are comedians and/or mostly appear in comedic movies) in dramatic roles.
One comes to mind for me, Jim Carrey in The Truman Show.October 14, 2013 at 8:26 pm #114794

Mo’Nique in Precious is the stand out for me. Though her rocking a dramatic role wasn’t a surprise for me. I remember her having a dramatic moment in “Phat Girls” and thinking, “Damn! Mo can ACT!”
I actually find that many great comedic actors often make great dramatic actors when given the chance. They have trained themselves to never hold anything back, so it works for when they really have to go for it.
