I think that Star Wars will be fine without a cinematography nomination.  Not getting editing might be the end of it though, as the guild recognized Skyfall, Inception, Star Trek, The Dark Knight and Casino Royale and it is the branch that has historically corresponded heavily with Best Picture.

Spotlight misses ACE Eddie, last best picture to do so was Driving Miss Daisy. Looks like we have ourselves a best picture race again.

Spotlight snubbed. And rightfully so. The editing was run of the mill. Nothing extraordinary.

BS! The editng of Spotlight was terrific and exceptionally precise. Most editing doesn’t equal best editing.

Finally a real snub for Spotlight. GO MAD MAX.

Yeah yeah, Mad Max with no SAG for ensemble, likely no writing nomination and no acting nominations won’t look that good in the end either.

I think Mad Max Fury Road is winning editing.

Believe or not, Mad Max could end up with an acting nomination and a writing nomination, you never know.

That takes Spotlight’s guaranteed oscar nominations down to three. If you can’t get into a drama field of 5 how is it going to get into Oscar’s field of five when The Big Short is taking a place.

If we take anything out of last year it’s if the TV awards and the guilds disagree you should trust the guilds.

For a Best Picture winner? Boy, the editing has to be noticable.
