It’ll make the BFCA look worse if they do it. And then the Star Wars: The Force Awakens backlash will begin.

The already look so bad with their awards and their obsessive need to be an Oscar predictor, now they want to do this? It’s embarrassing.

It’s Satelite Awards level of embarrassament.

Do it. It’s more worthy than The Martian or The Big Short

Chuck out The Big Short, and replace with Star Wars and Inside Out and it would be absolutely perfect!

But they aren’t chucking anything- they’re just tacking ‘The Force Awakens’ on there as an 11th nominee, assuming they reach that conclusion on Monday.

I know. I’m just saying that that’s what they should do.

Replace Bridge of Spies with Star Wars. Bridge of Spies isn’t terrible, but..it’s a little too traditional. Keep The Martian, though.

Please, no. This would be a total shame, and would position this awards as a total unserious competition.

Doing this would be similar to airplanes coming back to airports to pick up late passengers when they have already taken off. Star Wars didn’t show up on time, so sorry.

I think they are doing this because they want their award show to really represent the critics. When Star Wars came finally it went up to #7 overall on the year end best movies of the year lists by critics. I think that is the reason, and not for them to just be geekin and getting ratings.

Maybe next year they’ll get a clue and wait until they see everything before voting. There’s no reason nominations shouldn’t be coming out this Monday.

This is just another laughable moment on top of a pile of laughable moments for this group. They either need to change the way they do things or disband.

If they do decide to go ahead with this, will that mean they’ll add Star Wars to other categories as well? It’ll look absurd if it’s nominated for Best Picture but not Best Visual Effects for example.

Personally I wish they’d just accept that the movie doesn’t need their help. It’s not worth undermining what little integrity this group has for a movie bound to make about a billion dollars.
