This is a nice idea for documentary films to get their due but you neglected to mention the strangest category they have. I don’t remember it’s actually category title, but it’s something like Best Subject of a Documentary, where you have people who are the center of a doc nominated against other people in a doc, which just doesn’t seem to right to me. What is the criteria to pick a winner? Who suffered the most? Who had the worst case of injustice? Who triumphed better than someone else? It just creeps me out for some reason.

Actually, that’s not a competitive category. All the people in that category will be individually honored at the ceremony, like how they do with the Honorary Oscar winners at the Governors Awards.
