A new Gillian Flynn book titled Dark Places starring Oscar winner Charlize Theron will be release later this year.
The film is about Libby Day (Charlize Theron), the only surviving witness of a horrific massacre that took her mother and sisters. Believing the slaughter to be the work of a Satanic cult, Libby testifies in court against her own brother. 25 years after the murder, she remains haunted by the gruesome violence of her past when she meets a group of amateur investigators who call themselves “The Kill Club”. Looking to satisfy their morbid curiosity, the group begins their own inquiry about the case, believing Libby’s brother is innocent. In order to help them, Libby must unearth painful memories of the event and learn that her past may not be what it seems.March 4, 2015 at 4:30 pm #182128
I read Dark Places last year and the book is better than Gone Girl. I hope the movie is as good as the book.March 5, 2015 at 9:13 am #182129
I’ve been waiting for this movie since last summer when I found out about it. Any actually set release date yet?March 5, 2015 at 11:39 am #182131
Really excited for this. Kristin Scott Thomas did some of her best work with Paquet-Brenner in Sarah’s Key so hoping for something similar from Theron.March 5, 2015 at 5:33 pm #182132
Does Chloe Grace Moretz have a good enough role to earn any buzz?March 6, 2015 at 6:48 am #182133
I have the same question /\ But I just want to know if whoever read the book can tell us about the chances of Stoll and Hendricks.
Both of them is enough for me to watch it.March 6, 2015 at 9:10 am #182134
Based on the book, probably no for both Moretz and Stoll, unless one is a serious scene-stealer. Hendricks has a bigger and more complex part.
The story is fantastic, and I am really looking forward to this. The climactic scene is just killer and should be jaw-dropping on screen.
