    Jim Carrey.
    Cameron Diaz.

Both have come *this* close to Oscar nods in the past and now both have floundering careers. I hope at least Carrey can make a critical AND commercial comeback.

What has Cynthia Nixon done in the film realm that is Oscar worthy? She is a great tv/theatre actress but I would never say she did anything worthy of a nomination.

There are two names that destroy most… Jim Carey and Fairuza Balk

I am probably the only person who thought Jim should have been nominated for “The Grinch”. He also should have been nominated for “Eternal Sunshine”. Fairuza should have been nominated and in-fact won for “The Craft” in my opinion.

I think Jeff just joined the cast of the next Hunger Games. That should help raise his profile.

I’ll give a mention to Ciaran Hinds. I think he just joined the cast of Game of Thrones. That cant hurt the series at all.

OLIVER REED — YES! It’s a shame that he wasn’t a major awards contender during his lifetime. Posthumously, he was nominated for a BAFTA and SAG award (as Supp Actor and Ensemble, respectively) for his work in Best Pic winner Gladiator (2000)

Ciaran Hinds is so perfect for that series, it makes you wonder why it took them so long to cast him!
