I wanted to create a list to honor AFI’s list of the “Greatest Stars.” Their list which was released in 1999 ranked who they considered to be the greatest stars in film who had began their career prior to 1950. Their list had 25 men and 25 women. I wanted to honor the actors who had great success during the “post Golden Age” years prior to the new Millennium. Id like to see who you guys would consider the greatest and what you guys think of my list. Id also like to see other list. I know my choices could be considered controversial or horrible so I am prepared for the best and the worst. This is based on many things such as influence, talent, popularity, success, and filmography.

Love your 2 lists but i think anybody that has won 3 best actor oscars deserves to be on the list..so i would add DANIEL DAY-LEWIS  in place of Eddie Murphy…as for the women….I loved Thelma Ritter but i would argue that she shouldnt be on a list of 25 great stars..I would have Cate Blanchett on instead
