Really excited for this movie, the trailer was great.February 19, 2014 at 6:50 am #141474
I love the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ trailer, especially the inclusion of Star-Lord’s Walkman. It plays an important and emotional role in his backstory. I’m slightly disappointed that we didn’t get to hear Rocket (Bradley Cooper) or Groot (Vin Diesel) speak, but it’s not a huge deal. I love the art direction and the tone of the trailer… It’s just what I wanted. Chris Pratt was an excellent choice to play Star-Lord, and I think it’ll pay off in spades.February 19, 2014 at 7:31 am #141475
Pratt is hot, gosh! And with his upcoming projects, he’ll be a superstar really soon.May 19, 2014 at 9:32 pm #141478
I’ll be watching this . Not sure why exactly. Partially because of the cast, and to see if it gets close to “Slither” quality.May 19, 2014 at 9:40 pm #141479
I can’t wait. It looks like a ton of fun and it’s the most exciting Marvel film in a while (mostly because it’s a lesser known entity and it looks to not take itself too seriously).May 20, 2014 at 3:26 pm #141480
Here is the newest trailer, that gives some more insight into what the movie is about.

I’m looking forward to this mainly because it’s based off a comic book we haven’t seen on film yet. We get a talking raccon firing a machine gun before Wonder Women for fuck sakes.May 20, 2014 at 6:32 pm #141482
I heard or read somewhere that the raccoon is best in show. If that’s true another plus for Bradley Cooper. Hmmmm.
Regardless. this looks like it might be a nice break from general mainstream fare.May 20, 2014 at 9:26 pm #141483
Rocket stealing the show is pretty much a given. You guys are in for a real treat with him. Groot, too.July 31, 2014 at 7:49 pm #141484
Just got back from the Thursday night premiere and LOVED THIS! I didn’t really dig the first couple of trailers, but the TV promos and excellent reviews made me curious, plus I like Chris Pratt. It was a great movie, maintaining the Marvel feel but stepping outside of the normal boundaries. It’s quirky and weird without going overboard, and the characters are just great. It’s funny, action-packed, and the story is pretty simple to follow compared to some other comic book movies. Pratt’s great, and he’s going to explode after this comes out. Bradley Cooper also does a great job voicing Rocket, and props to Dave Bautista for doing a very god job with Drax despite having little acting experience. It’s a strange movie, for sure, but I don’t think anyone’s going into this not expecting that. It has “Star Wars” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark” elements while still maintaining the Marvel feel that they’ve perfected over the years. There’s already confirmation of a sequel, and the movie readily set that up, so even if I didn’t already know beforehand that “Guardians 2” is coming in 2017, I’d assume right away. Overall, after a summer of some disappointing films and not a lot of movies I was extremely excited about, “Guardians” stood out in the best possible way.
